Desert Inn - Van Horn

Consider requesting a room away from the railroad to minimize noise disturbance during your stay.

The room was generally clean with a king bed, had a good night's sleep. The location was comfy and marvellous, near highway and easy to find. The property was set in a quiet area.

There was something as pool missing, we were a little disappointed.

Hotel was fairly clean, very kind and courteous staff.

Clean & comfy with a hint of nostalgia

We stayed for a night in a queen room and it seemed like stepping back in time! The place was super clean, and the shower's blue tile was a nice touch. The owner was really chill and let us check in early, but the trains passing by are loud, so be ready for that. Plus, there's a cozy restaurant nearby.

the train noise was a bit annoying, but the room was clean and nicely updated. the staff was super friendly and gave me a great restaurant recommendation. location was perfect, with easy access to food and gas stations.

Awesome place with free Wi-Fi, non-smoking rooms, and comfortable air conditioning. The staff helped me plan my evening on my first stay, which I still remember. Highly recommend it for a city break!

The room had a charming retro vibe that felt cozy and cute. The water pressure in the shower was good, perfect for a refreshing start to the day.

The room was solid with a comfortable bed, super clean, and a nice big shower. Internet and TV worked fine. Only downside? The sink was a bit small and no hangers for towels. But honestly, the cleanliness and comfort totally made up for it. The price is really good for what you get. The front desk staff were also super nice and helpful.

Just a smart choice for a momentary pause in Van Horn with fantastic value for money. The A/C worked quite nicely-essential for desert travelers in July! Call ahead to get the AC turned on before you arrive.

The Queen Room was really comfortable, and I loved that the mini fridge was already cold when I got there. I particularly enjoyed relaxing by the pool and taking in the sunshine. A minor downside was that the trains passing through could be a little noisy at night, but it didn't ruin my experience. 😊

Remarkably clean with friendly staff. Enjoyed the easy access to nearby dining, and the air conditioning worked brilliantly during those hot days.

Limited amenities could be a drawback. No breakfast options and some noise from the train passing nearby may disturb light sleepers.

A great thing about staying here was the room - it was budget-friendly and had a ton of space. the king size bed was comfy, the shower was nice, and looking out at the mountains was awesome! 🏞️
